The power outage affected the entire City of Lake Worth and all 26,100 customers. I called the Power Outage number but my call was "rejected."
Originally it was estimated to be restored in three hours. My power came back on in 50 minutes.

curious why we could not have our power on sooner with having our own power plant that can serve 70MW, yet we rely on FPL. All the power plant employees and no power.
I am generally of the mind that our power interruptions have decreased over the 15 years I've lived in the City. But, this outage seemed strange. Yes it was raining, but not that hard. Why would that kill the entire city's power?
