Lawrence Gordon gets Post endorsement

Comment Up

Lawrence Gordon got the Palm Beach Post endorsement today over Priscilla Taylor and two other candidates in District 7 in the Palm Beach Board of County Commission race.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Gordon at the Memorial Day ceremony in Lake Worth. Mr. Gordon says, "Our County and district need a commissioner who is going to be responsive to the needs of residents and small business owners. Not someone that spends their time looking elsewhere for political opportunities. That type of thinking and lack of commitment leads to 'backroom backscratching' and 'political horse-trading'.

We need someone who will stand firm for the people of Palm Beach County."

We need a change on that commission. Sorry Drew didn't get the endorsement but big money talks with the Post editors.

Don't know about the big money comment but one thing we do know, the Palm Beach Post is a very liberal newspaper with liberal views. That is why it is a little surprising that Drew couldn't have been given at least a co-endorsement here. He has contributed so much in trying to save our environment and has written untold articles for the Palm Beach Post in Op Ed pieces. He still gets my vote out of loyalty and in knowing he is a good human being who will put the people first in every decision he makes.
