Rene Varela has been seen around town meeting various people regarding his possible quest to become Mayor of Lake Worth. Those he has met with are considered developer backed and powerful but out of favor at the moment. One of the people actually campaigned for and voted for his opponent last time around.
Politics makes for strange bedfellows.
