This run-off election has come down to one thing—those against McNamara are voting against Cara Jennings. That's what this has boiled down to--an anti Cara vote. It has nothing whatsoever to do with candidate qualifications or who has done the most for this City.
Rene Varela has already said that the two main political factions in this city will “be out in the cold” once he is elected. The irony of this is, the ‘paver” crowd has all flipped for the “flipper.”
Last year Varela was left out in the cold by this very same group and other groups such as the Human Rights Council, even his very own Democratic Club. Varela was virtually alone in his campaign with about 4 workers: Sam Goodstein, Donna Ross, Katie McGiveron and me. Throughout this past year he has worked hard behind the scenes to do what it takes to politick and to win this time around. He switched allegiances and those who helped in the past, other than Goodstein, were expendable. He looked for new friends and those who could help him over the top and his political ambition.
If he wins on Tuesday, I hope that the first campaign promise he made is broken--that all those who care about this City are not ignored, thrown to the wolves or put out into the cold.

Lake Worth Citizens know that a man from Miami, who spent 38 years in Miami, and barely 2 years in our City, should have run for Mayor of Miami.
Brazen carpetbaggers always want to take over of a town they enter assuming its' Citizens suckers!
