On the Internal Audit Report on Landfill Expenditure Deficiencies dated December 21, 2007, it indicated that the City of Lake Worth had numerous problems, some even criminal. The Internal Auditor recommended to pursue civil and criminal remedies for the CCNA violations. It was suggested that our City Attorney, Larry Karns, become involved as well as the Lake Worth Police Department for further investigation. Our last Audit was also a nightmare and arrived one day before Bob Baldwin, former City Manager, left office and just about a year after the fiscal year had ended.
Nothing was done by Lake Worth. The entire subject has been silenced and all seemed to be swept under the rug. Sources tell me that a committee of citizens reviewed the Audits and have now contacted the State Attorney's office.

Just my opinion,but Mr Larry Karns was up to his non-existant neck in the shenanigans that were going on at the time. Maybe Ann Costello or Mr. Frey should have their rear ends hauled before a state Grand Jury to testify. Ann always said "If I go down, a lot of other people are going down with me ".
