The "Dirty Dozen" and Election 2010 - Part I

Comment Up

This is a story in a three part series and a conclusion about a dozen plus or so people who have a Plan. Do you remember the Abraham Lincoln quote--"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." Their goal is to convince enough people so that they can win in November and convince them by any means available. They got one elected this time. Next time, two more and the vote is secure.

Everyone in Lake Worth remembers these three signs placed together everywhere you looked during the last election. This is still what is happening in Lake Worth today. Some represented here are the people determined to “run” or perhaps I should say, ruin Lake Worth.

Only one out of these three candidates, supported by today’s very vocal group, won his District—Scott Maxwell. He won for a myriad of reasons. One main reason was that Ron Exline did not do what it takes to win. He beat himself. Although not vocalized during the election, Scott Maxwell had a message. He was against illegal immigration, the main cause in his mind of all our ills. Eradicate the cause of this and LW is on its way to posterity. A lot of people bought this loud message.

His web site www.bordercontrolnow has been inactive prior to his campaign this past Fall because of major viruses that affected the site and brought it down. He had a radio show, Connecting the Dots that was discontinued because of the elections and a request by his opponent to end it because of some perceived unfair advantage. Neither has been revived. The very issue that was in the minds of those who supported him, that of illegal immigration, has been removed from sight...literally.

Behind the scenes people were lead to believe that when he was elected he would 1) do everything in his power to flip the dais to effect a totally different vote outcome 2) close down the Mentoring Center which would be a start to ridding us of the illegal immigrants and 3) get rid of some top staff. This was attractive to some people especially the Dirty Dozen. Of course, they planted the seed that Ron Exline was old, frugal, a rule player and out of touch. He supported sensible growth and their desire is to build and build high. Also they said that he was backed by Cara Jennings, which was further from the truth, who was Satan in their minds. They had been on a destroy mission and anyone reading that hate forum was possibly influenced by their lies and hatred.

Scott had the perfect opportunity to talk about illegal immigration last Tuesday night when the Proclamation was brought forward by Commissioner Jennings for the Dreamer’s Walk. He kept his mouth shut. He thought it was politically prudent to do so. Now you have to ask yourself, why would he not take the opportunity to discuss the very subject, near and dear to his heart, and the one topic that catapulted him into office even though it was a behind the scenes campaign promise? The other four made comments. My guess--those close to him have asked him to be silent on this issue. As everyone knows, I am against illegal immigration and it is this type of specious politics for which I have no use.

Scott Maxwell is being supported by the Loretta Sharpe faction. He is on the dais to do their will but don't kid yourself, he has a will of his own and it all jives with the Dozen. He is a leader. In fact, former Commissioner Retha Lowe who took most of her direction from Loretta is everywhere and it makes you wonder if she thinks she is still in office…working on a committee for St. Marc, Haiti as an example. Who authorized that? Scott mentions her a lot. Sharpe never wants to lose control in this city even though she lost her election by 87% of the vote. Power and control.

To see the supporters behind the Trio, look to the Treasury-Reports or just attend a City Commission meeting. Also, look to some she invited to parties and dinners over the holidays. Lois Frankel always said, "Feed them and they will come" sort of like pigeons in the park or people easily manipulated or conned by those who lie, cajole and use glib self-serving talk. This group is attempting to garner support everywhere it can by spewing lies and distortions of the facts to vulnerable people or those considered on the fence against those who have taken any sort of a stand and have stood up to corruption of any kind in this city. Even the top corruption fighter who ran for Mayor was invited and briefly attended. He was invited because he has spoken out about a few of the "gruesome threesome" for a few bad decisions. Maybe she could just "turn" him as well. That is the target. Those people are the objective. They want to win them over and they know exactly what buttons to push.

Their goal--to have it all come crashing down and the 3 to 2 reversed even though the three gals have not been working in tandem since the election. This group has managed to splinter the three votes on the dais in just a short time by throwing honest people off their guard with false accusations and personal attacks.

Your post is long, rambling, incoherent and makes me want to go running for my tinfoil hat. What in the world are you talking about?

Are you trying to say that a "dozen plus or so" people have a plan to change things in the city? Other then Sharpe, Maxwell, Exline and Lowe you mentioned no other names. One of those four is an elected official. The Green Party consist of a "dozen plus or so people" who are "working behind the scenes" to "garner support everywhere it can" to "win in November." So are many other people/groups, including YOU (Amendment 4). As private citizens and not elected officials we all have the right to plan, talk, email, meet and think for ourselves. It seems to me that you are all for citizens being active in their government and trying to facilitate change UNTIL it is something that you don't agree with.

What "destroy" mission are you referring to? You attend the City Commission meetings on a regular basis, can you help me identify who these people are? Do they have secret handshakes, colors or badges? I'm still waiting for you to produce some sort of evidence. Is inviting people over for dinner and the extent of your conspiracy theory?

You say "This group has managed to splinter the three votes on the dais" today and yet just last week you were complaining about having too many 5-0 decisions. Which is it?

Who mentioned the Green Party? Go get your tin foil hat. I don't think too much of any Party when it comes right down to it...don't think much about politicians either but I think a whole lot less about your loud, lying, mean and sometimes right in your face vocal Group bullying every where you go.

Well now this is too juicy to pass up. Remember the term "Loretha" the convenient conjunction of the political interests of Loretta Sharpe and her consort Retha Lowe who chummed it up for years? Of course you do. And Loretta doesn't want to be without controlling a vote on the commission because she "cares" for the city and wants the best for it - as she sees it. That means gossip and inuendo must prosper. Now she has number one anti-illegal immigrant candidate (endorsed by Retha) to insure a continuing and lingering odor of Loretta and friends influence on city politics.

Doesn't anyone remember Scott Maxwell's rabid look as he blasted the commission for allowing illegals in the city, not to mention committing to getting rid of the mentoring center? Now he's quiet as a mouse and will remain so until he's part of the new majority envisioned by Loretta and friends. Gossip will truly abound then.

So what is the vision of this dirty dozen? Well, it's AGAINST what anyone else is FOR. That's not to difficult to prove. But the vision is a Lake Worth vertically developed to the max. Loretta is first and foremost a realtor and realtor greed and lobbying in the 90's is exactly what got us where we are economically today.

Realtors only think $$ and that means increasing the tax base which they say; will solve our problems but we know that isn't true at all.

In fact, it's the realtors who are usually gone by the time everyone figures out that increasing a tax base through new development has long term consequences that everyone has to pay for.

So is Loretta alone. No. Is there a dirty dozen or so that lobby intently to get their developer mindset ways? Yes. Are they a danger to themselves and others, I sure think so and I think its good to hear about them once in awhile - just as a reminder of what we don't want in power.

I'm going to try this again. Either my last comment did not go through or you are refusing to post it...

You are correct, you didn't mention the Green Party specifically. I thought it was obvious that I was using it as an example. Feel free to substitute Republican, Democrat, Tea Party, or whatever. What difference does it make and why is this the only portion of my comment you responded to? No one is bullying me everywhere I go. No one is in my face. No one is inviting me to join their super secret groups. I am still waiting for a dinner invitation.

I'm sure your readers would be interested in more specific details about the "lies" and "bullying" you keep you referring to. Is this about specific citizens, elected officials or city employees? Look, I love that you have a blog and you try to keep your readers informed about local, state and national events that pertain to the residents of Lake Worth. What I object to is this constant rhetoric without a single shred of documentation. Show us an email. Give us a concrete example. Stop writing about this master plan to takeover and destroy the city and actually produce something to back it up! Quit being so vague! As the expression goes "put your money where your mouth is."

First of all, your comments were less than complimentary and certainly unfriendly.

Next, this is Commentary. This entire blog is based on MY perception of the issues. If you are not a party to the Group, then what is your beef? You come on here and talk about my article as being "rambling" and "long" and wearing your tin foil hat. I would suppose that the Wizard of Oz is shorter and easier to comprehend than what I write about. I really would like you to come to meetings and open your mind to another perspective, that of the truth. Send me an e-mail. We can get together and discuss.

As far as mentioning Amendment 4, there were over 1 million people in the State of Florida who signed that petition. That is hardly a group or even considered in the same breath as this dozen or so of whom I address here. We didn't have to yell, shout or tell lies either.

There are plenty of specifics but do you really see any writer out there displaying e-mails or other "proof" as you put it in an article?

You really have to live it. You have to understand the players. I am not the one that sent out a flier during the campaign full of lies as an example. Look to the sender for answers.
.
This is about how I see it and it is up to you to evaluate it. As I am not making any money on this, am not running for office, have no particular axe to grind, I don't have to "put my money where my mouth is." A blog is all about commentary.
