Dr. Ian Saltzman to leave Lake Worth High

Dear Mr. Cantley & Alumni:

I hope your summer is going well. I want to notify you that effective the next School Board Meeting, I will become the new South Area Director.

The past four years at Lake Worth High School have been some of the most challenging and rewarding years in my professional career. Together we have made significant improvements in student achievement and the graduation rate at Lake Worth High. I have truly enjoyed working with all of you and look forward to working with you in the future should our paths cross again. You have been like a family to me.

I wish you luck as you continue to work with the successful programs we started together. I appreciate your dedication and commitment to the students at Lake Worth High.

Truly
Ian

Former principal, Dave Cantley said, "We need to congratulate Dr. Saltzman on his promotion and thank him for the hard 4 years of his life he has dedicated to Lake Worth High. It appears the school will receive a grade of "C" from the state this year after two years of being a "D" school. This is a great accomplishment considering the students he has to work with. Dr. Saltzman and the teachers should be highly praised for this accomplishment. Please wish him well."

Dr. Saltzman threw out 421 students, most of which were ESOL and ESE within the first few months of his arrival.

He also led the school onto the State of Florida's "Intervene" list.

Those are facts.

Good luck to the new principal, Dr. Howell!!!

YEA, those kids probably started trouble. Screw them... If the kids don't want to be there, why let them stay and disrupt learning. Good Job Dr. Saltzman. You are truly missed at LWHS... BIG TIME TRULY missed!
