Corruption of the Rule of Law - Jackpot Babies

I know--we will be having liberal pinkos screaming bloody murder, "but these ARE children. How can you be so heartless?...what a (b)witch." Let the name calling begin from those who have worked so diligently in giving away our country.

"Many illegal immigrants are searching for jobs. Many others come here to have a baby who is entitled to a wide array of government benefits and can eventually help the parents become citizens as well.

A new study by the Pew Research Center shows that in 2009, there were about 4 million U.S. born children of undocumented immigrant parents living in the country. Another 1.1 million foreign-born children of undocumented immigrants resided in the U.S. in 2009.

An estimated 340,000 of the 4.3 million babies born in the United States in 2008, or about 8 percent, were the offspring of undocumented immigrants, the study shows. Pew's figures come from the U.S. Census Bureau's March 2009 Current Population Survey.

In 2009, immigrants, legal or illegal, made up 12.8 percent of the total U.S. population. 37 percent of all adult undocumented immigrants were parents of U.S. citizen children.

Mike Huckabee said that he does not support a repeal of the 14th Amendment saying, "You do not punish a child for something the parent did." Perhaps Huckabee really means that, but then, he did lose the election.

House Minority Leader John Boehner on Sunday said he's open to talks on changing the U.S. Constitution, or at least the way it's interpreted so that U.S. born children of illegal immigrants are not automatically U.S. citizens. "I think it's worth considering," Boehner said.

Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul (R) was one of the first to raise the question, saying, “We’re the only country I know of that allows people to come in illegally, have a baby, and then that baby becomes a citizen, and I think that should stop also.”

58 percent of voters surveyed by Rasmussen support an end to birthright citizenship.
