Illegal Aliens Leaving

Comment Up
Now I know why I never see a Sheriff vehicle in Lake Worth--they are out investigating murders in other parts of PB County.

Now that a lot of the illegal aliens are leaving Lake Worth because of lack of jobs and the closure of The Mentoring Center, aka Illegal Hiring Hall, we should see less alien victims of crime and less misdemeanors as far as the immigration population is concerned. Not only are they leaving here, they are leaving the State of Florida, a drop of 27% over the past two years. They are also leaving the country. Pew Researcher, Jeffrey Passel said, "We've seen a reversal in what had been the long-term growth in the illegal immigrant population."

We now have Rick Scott who wants to implement E-Verify. This should scare most all of them off and crime will steadily reduce. Those advocating for PBSO at any cost, will give the kudos to the Sheriff who can't even ask an alien where he is from.

So what you're saying is that illegal aliens commit or are involved in all crimes. No other races? So what you are saying is that once the illegals leave we won't need any police at all. Yet you voted for jennings and Golden, who made Lake Worth a sancutary city not once but twice

Oh, I guess you were in the voting booth with me, not just once, but twice! Way to go. Are you my invisible shadow? You need to learn how to read and comprehend. Once you do that, we will talk. Until then, take a big hike.

A quick tour down Lake and Lucerne this morning tells me that the illegals are just as numerous as before. You have previously stated that the Mentoring Center didn't work and that the laborers still crowded the streets. So, by extension, why would their numbers decrease if the "ineffective" Center closed? Just because they can no longer get a free, hot meal 2x a day doesn't mean they are leaving town. I won't believe the numbers are dropping into a see a drop in enrollment at the Elementary Schools or a dramatic increase in For Rent signs in the western neighborhoods.

They are still on the streets, no doubt about that. But every report says that many of the illegals are leaving. They don't ALL hang on the streets...never did. Great point--A drop in enrollment in the schools would be an indicator. Would the School Board give that info out?

While illegal aliens may be a problem and we do need law and order here, we all forget that really illegal immigration is due to the fact that we in the USA, our government, is not doing enough about human trafficking, all illegals are human trafficked here, and illegal employment is allowed. All of this must stop, but our higher-ups seems to want to overlook all of this to allow this modern day slavery to continue, big business controls it all I am sure.

Sometimes, people break laws too, because laws are not fair. Illegals just want to pay to be human trafficked here to have a better life, make more money, and there is also an element of greed from them and their traffickers. A lot of gays break laws too, or their bi-national partners, marrying to get residency, a fake marriage, since gays can't marry. Gays should have the right to marry in this country like heterosexuals can for bi-national gay couples, especially if we have separation of church and state here as we say we do. A lot of people break laws, although I am not advocating it, because, many laws in this country and world ARE NOT FAIR FOR ALL PEOPLE.

We really need to just stop human trafficking and we wouldn't have problems with illegal aliens. We really need to re-evaluate ALL of our laws here and then if we are going to have them, enforce them all.

The Chamber of Commerce, and their masters in the agriculture and development lobbies DO NOT want to see their cheap labor (Illegal aliens) go bye bye. These lobbies own almost every politician in the state. Don't hold your breath to see immigration laws in Florida upheld any time soon. The new Plantation system of slaves is alive and well in Florida.
