The Unions and Lake Worth

Comment Up
The Unions are socking it to the City of Lake Worth. We are not alone. The Unions are running like a pack of mad dogs throughout the U.S. Where is Ronnie when you need him? They want the entire country to be another Detroit.

In a period of free-falling economic times that we have seen in our city with property values, as well as cutting way back on every department in the City ( principally due to excessive union benefits that they have bludgeoned us all with, they are trying to get even more unfair and un-American leverage for their workers. Their cry--"let's bring Lake Worth to its knees."

"I remember my dad telling me horror stories about having to deal with union thugs when he owned his first store. As a new entrepreneur, my dad was so proud that, after years of working for someone else, he was finally going to get the opportunity to own his own business! My dad is an electrical engineer by trade, so he was going to do some wiring to his new place... until union thugs came over and threatened to destroy his business if he didn't allow their slugs to perform the work. If I remember correctly (and my dad can fill in the memory blanks, since he does read this blog), these lazy pieces of rancid crap took twice as long to perform the work my dad could have done himself in several hours, took several union-mandated work breaks, and cost my dad much more than if he had done the work himself.

Nice.

Not."

Read more about the rancid Union crap at The Liberty Zone. This is an interesting tale.

Go Stanton!

Stanton just lost a big one in court and now we are in the hole even more. I support getting union benefits under control but Stanton must work within the law or we will get sued. Getting sued costs money. We can'toperate this way much longer. If we keep losing law suits we are dead.

The employees should be listening to the city who employs them. They have made a big mistake.

The Unions said that Stanton would not come to the table. She says that the Unions would not bargain. Which is it?

The unions won.Every taxpayer in Lake Worth lost. Now it is time for our city manager to protect the residents whose taxes are being sucked away by these greedy union Bas####s. It is time to say goodbye to the unions and bring in an independent management firm. Time to fire every union employee and start FRESH! Other cities have been forced to do this.Time for some attitude adjustments. My Dad was a union painter back in the 60's when the bottom fell out of construction down here. If it weren't for my Grandparents, my family would have lost our house and starved. But boy, those unions had their hands out to my Dad for those union dues! It's time for us to take our city back from the unions that are going to bankrupt us !
