Another Candidate "Debate"

Comment Up

It's not enough that we just had a 2 hour Candidate Forum at The Playhouse, a room packed to over capacity, hosted by the Neighborhood President's Council, but now we have to have another one from The College Park Neighborhood Association along with Eden Place Neighborhood Association.

Mayoral Candidate Forum
Monday, June 20th
7 - 8:30 pm
First Congregational Church,
1415 North K Street

Pretty nasty for a temporary mayor that is going to cost the taxpayers over 30,000! Lay off some more lifeguards and librarians! Thanks, pig Varela!

The post was right -Lisa Maxwell is a dud.And no, I didn't mean "dude". I meant DUD,in capital letters.Do any other members of the Gay and Lesbian community wish with all their hearts that Lisa and Mark Foley were both hetero?Tom Rammiccio is trying desperately to get a finders fee of a couple million from SOMEONE-either FPL or a developer that takes over our beach.Waterman has my vote.

How could it ever be a bad thing to have as many opportunities as possible to get to know the candidates better? Especially with the short time allotted before the election?
You've really got me on this one...implying another debate is boring and a waste of time.??

I find it odd that you don't support the opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates

Well, I find it "odd" that some believe we need to have more of them. We have exactly 11 days until the election so that NA's can get political. If people wanted to get to know the candidates they should have made arrangements to attend The Playhouse. The NA's are always trying to "up" the other NA's on getting one first and doing it "better." It's all politics, something for which the NA's are famous. You could see it in the questions already asked.

If you're going to ask a question ask Tom and Lisa why they want to sell off our Utility and outsource everything in the city. Ask them if we should de-charter and just go into the County thus eliminating City of LW taxes.

You think this is dumb, wait until the regular election. They will have debate after debate so we can hear the same stuff.

People are lazy azzes and get the government they deserve. Even Lisa Maxwell sounds credible unless you know better.

Well, let's see if this NA debate is better than the one at The Playhouse. I agree with someone who said that every candidate needs to answer the same question. Also, rotating who goes first on each question would be fair. I think, also, that each candidate should be allowed to rebut what a candidate says particularly when they are just flat wrong on the facts. That should always be exposed. Debate, not stand up there and tell tall tales.

Will we have to see Tom stomping on some books again?
