Crime Information Bulletin from the PBSO

Robberies - Lake Osborne Area

Elderly victims are being targeted in the Lake Osborne Area in apartment complexes parking lots between the hours of 9pm and 12am. Please use caution when outside of your residence during these hours. We are currently looking for:

Two black males, one possibly a dark skinned Hispanic male driving a red pickup truck.

These subjects will approach a resident taking out their trash or sitting in their vehicle to ask generic questions. They then grab them from behind, cover their mouth, and remove their belongings from their pockets. We have had 4 cases of this type, one case in December and three more recently this month.

If you see anything suspicious call PBSO immediately at 561-688-3400 or 911 in the case of an emergency.

The above was received by me from an e-mail from Robert Waples. This flier has now been distributed and posted on all bulletin boards in my community. We will be watching and waiting. I just chatted with one building president and she said that she has been telling everyone that we are safe. No one is ever safe. Keep your eyes opened and be careful out there.

The I feel safe idea came from all those nut cases holding pbso signs. A false sense of security.
