Pickett, you COWARD!! You had that meeting out of the Sunshine ON PURPOSE !!! A notice on the board at city hall the day before?!? REALLY?!?It's legal, but it sure isnt normal. You cancelled the properly noticed meeting with the Commission because you didn't want the Commission or your board memebers to have to deal with the pulic's wrath!Stantons fingerprints are all over this one.And John, you are lying through your teeth when you said that you have not been in touch with Stanton. B.S.!!

Wow. Calling someone a liar and a coward is serious stuff. Especially when you're 100% wrong.
Cowardly is not posting your name and lies are what you posted.
Post your name, or contact John Pickett directly.

It's common knowledge Pickett sits on Susan Stanton"s lap.The white knight is beginning to lose his lustre.

Instead of a rubber stamp, perhaps a puppet graphic would be more appropriate. Pickett saw nothing wrong with the budget? Really. He stated:
the purpose of the meeting with the Commission was to express any significant disagreements we might have had with the budget as presented. Seeing we had nothing substantial to disagree with, the meeting, from our board's standpoint, was superflous. Having said that, our board did not cancel the meeting...

I would guess that a FAB meeting was thought of at the last 98 seconds in order to give more credibility to Stanton's budget. Now she can say, "See the FAB agrees with me." That is my guess. Irregardless of what happened, there are thousands of people now very much interested in the budget because of the tax increases they will experience. Are they justified or not are the questions we all have. The FAB is the Board that should be delving into all of that. Not in 3 or 4 hours they didn't. Disappointing is not descriptive enough.

Lynn, who's job is it to post the mtgs on lake worth.org?

In the past, it has been the Finance Department itself. Normally you would think it was the City Clerk's responsibility. Obviously by the one poster who found the notice on the bulletin board at City Hall on Tuesday, it was "legally" noticed. Not good enough though. It's bad enough that the City has not done enough for the board...no formal secretary and little notice and no-back-ups. Jessica took fabulous Minutes, by the way, something I failed to say in another blog.
