Coffee with the Mayor

Comment Up
Well, former mayor Rene Varela's idea of politicking with the electorate has not died.

Rachel Waterman is now having a one hour coffee tomorrow at the Farmer Girl Restaurant, 1732 N. Dixie at 8:30am.

Have her explain all the latest "goings on" and why we keep burning through money and raising taxes.

Well, I hope she turns her cell phone off for this meeting and allows the citizens a chance to speak instead of them listening to her conversations and cutting into their time with the mayor. She really needs to listen to the people if she wants to get re-elected.

Being a friend of Jeff Clemens is that a help or a hindrance?

Maybe she can explain her housing arrangement so the citizens will believe that she pays rent and electricity. And that she will feel the impact of these special assessments like the people her votes are affecting.

Well it's always nice when people sitting on the Dias are paying attention and not checking emails or playing songs on their laptops when there is a public meeting going on....

Was listening to a meeting in the last couple of weeks online and a "noise" interrupted the meeting and from what was told it turned out to be a certain P & Z new member that was chatting on email and clicked a link instead of paying attention....

Give you one guess???

I want to know if she thinks it's ok to pay people to vote for her.

I dunno. That's an old Retha Lowe trick.

Does anyone want to post the highlights of the coffee?
