Commissioner Amoroso gets Two Right

Commissioner Amoroso made two decisions last night for which we agree:

1. To have the door re-installed on the city manager's office for security reasons. As stated, anyone can walk in there and grab computers or other city property. The office, when vacated, will be locked. Scott Maxwell gave the former city manager, Susan Stanton, an ultimatum after they took their oath--remove the lock or remove the door. She complied the next day by removing the door.

2. Amoroso agreed to allow the commission to have access to the Internet during meetings but objected to any communication via e-mail. Commissioner Suzanne Mulvehill stood up for what was right and agreed with Amoroso. That is a good decision as a unanimous vote was passed during the Clemens regime forbidding any communication via Internet or cell phones. Clemens was receiving e-mail from supporters on various agenda topics during the meetings. Scott Maxwell wanted that practice to continue. This would be a Sunshine violation.

Both of these opinions/decisions are directly opposite of the Vice Mayor's "vision."
