Boynton had a recent survey that asked residents how to solve their budget problems. Geez. Isn't this why you hire a city manager and pay him big bucks? Instead, they can now blame it on the 224 residents who responded if they raise taxes per the results of this survey.
This reminds me of the Lake Worth beach redevelopment when Jennings had a Survey and about the same number of people said take out all the parking...let the people walk up the dune...we want green and Jungle Jims...take away the decal parking spots. They didn't ask the other 37,000 people.
Very soon Lake Worth will be going into Budget workshops and will have to deal with the exact same problems that Boynton has. As Scott Maxwell has never voted or approved any budget, we have to wonder about the 2012/2013 and what to expect.
