The end of an era--An Old Family Recipe had its last fundraiser yesterday evening. This was a spaghetti dinner for the benefit of the PBSO First Tee Youth Golf Program and annual Lake Worth Safety Patrol Picnic.

An Old Family Recipe will be closing on June 2 after 18 years  at The Lake Worth Towers. Prior to the Towers, they were located in Lantana for 8 years. Janet's late husband, Larry Mahoney, worked at Bud's Chicken in Lake Worth for 28 years near 10th Avenue North before they opened An Old Family Recipe.

Janet Mahoney sold her business and another restaurant will be there in about one month.  I just can't imagine that it will be the same. We will miss you, the great food and the family.

Oh, this is so sad. I didn't know they were closing. I loved their fish fry each Friday. We will miss Janet, Carol, David and all. They are a great crew! Best wishes and God bless you all always! Thanks for so many wonderful years of good homestyle food!
