Gave a long political speech mentioning divisive behavior...unstable and volatile dais and lack of transparency in the past --perception has to change he said. Solution and policies in the best interests of everyone not the few vocal people who come up here and speak on everything.

Over the next two years, it will be a race to see which one of the two talk the most. Last night, Szerdi soared ahead with his opening speech. Both commissioners have different views on how they want the city to look. Szerdi said that he will bring out the truthful facts when talking about heights and further mentioned divisive behavior. Divisive behavior is anyone who does not agree with Mr. Szerdi and friends. He wants 65 feet downtown. If you disagree, he says you are "putting in a wedge...divisive, he says.

Even John Thomas, Palm Beach County's Director of Residential Appraisals stated that he was happy to see that we were keeping our dense city relegated to one and two story buildings in the downtown.

Might want to go after Lindstrom's "Truthful facts" - lol - like that is gonna happen! They do not follow and most do not even know the rules. Constitution, Charter, By-Laws etc. If the Rules were clear they could point to actual Facts like 7.3.12 - Item 11B Resolution 28-2012 - where the Commission GAVE AWAY their/Our power to unelected unaccountable LW employee's to 'receive and distribute info regarding business location/relocation in the city.' This is exactly how WALMART Happens!
In LW you'd get GRAND TOTAL of 4 minutes possibly 6-7 minutes to object at a meeting on public record.

Then there's the "Undefined" term "Public Benefit" necessary to ADD HEIGHT and DENSITY.

It use to be called Pay to Play then PBC got the IG/Ethic's dept so they changed the name to "Waiver" and walla - what was not OK yesterday is OK today? State the content of the Emperor's Clothes and get a pass...just gotta give a little "Public Benefit" which literally could be a statue over a necessary sewer, gas or electric line. This is Bribery and Extortion in action! We need this CLEARLY defined in the LDR's (Land Development Regulations which have curiously been delayed till after the election and will take place right through the holidays when no one has time to pay attention ) PLUS 4th and 5th Amendment property protection w/grandfathering on the LAND not the owner! Ya know how they are saying we will bring in more money/revenues so no more borrowing from reserves? Think a minute about this. Property values are basically the same so that money is basically the same. So where is this extra 'revenue' being generated from? May want to ask your Sustainability Czar - at a meeting 3 months into the new year he declared at the workshop at the Shuffle board courts his department had made in 3 months what they projected to pull in ALL YEAR!

Feeing - Fining - Fatiguing US into Compliance.

"Legally Non-Complying" should scare the bejesus outta anyone! More than 1/2 of us will be "Legally Non-Complying" after the LDR"S are voted in place. What is the average cost to bring one of these homes "INTO Compliance" (Strange thing to tell your Boss - We the People - are the BOSS) but where is the math to 'educate the people w/TRUTHFUL FACTS"? Must be expensive because there’s a program(s) to help you pay for those improvements! (City HAS to get your money – I mean consultants for all these bright ideas are expensive! Grant money is NOT granted w/out all the costly hoops to go through. I would estimate from ¼ Million to a 1/2 Million for their IDEA”S and OPINIONS. No one I’ve seen is held accountable for their fables. Perhaps swearing people in – placing all of them under oath might be an easy fix?)

and lastly - the most frightening word to me is "To reduce or eliminate" non-conforming uses - ya know - the ones the Czar says need to "Fit into the ENVELOPE" - more than 1/2 of us can be charged to bring our property into compliance - can you say “HUGE” revenue generator! The founding fathers called it "Taxing US without OUR Consent" – “Pretended Acts of Legislation”

So there - a “truthful fact” our elected representatives need to know! We know it and read it in Public Record. Stop acting like we are illiterate fools and only you know better for us than we do for ourselves!
Obey the Law of the Land and protect our property do NOT take it from us because we refuse to give up our God Given Rights to be the boss of ourselves – NOT the Government!

The only person who speaks on everything is Peter Timm. So, what's wrong with having an opinion and taking an interest in your city and what the commission votes on?

Even Loretta got up there and said Mr. Thomas was the ONLY person who has spoken in front of the commission in years who made any sense.
