The French House Cafe

Comment Up

This morning, John Jordan and I had a delightful and  scrumptious  breakfast at The French House Cafe located at the corner of Lake Avenue and Dixie Highway.  We both had homemade pancakes (French style), with fresh strawberries similar to the above photo. We were served water from a carafe, fresh orange juice and coffee.

Our server, one of the owners, who is French

After breakfast we drove up to the beach to see what's happening. The upper level parking lot was completely filled. "We can no longer drive by and see the ocean," John exclaimed. This is something we have been talking about ever since Cara Jennings and the Rene Varela regime, on up to this present commission. There was time to change the design and put back the 164 upper level spaces but no one wanted to tackle it..another thing off of the plate.

On Tuesday night, the Commission will vote to extend the Interlocal agreement with the County on the beach redevelopment completion date deadline. It seems there are still parts of the project yet to be done. Who knew?

Thanks Lynn, looks good sounds good, how much did the food cost there? Sounds like a nice place.

Comparable to Mulligans--my breakfast was $9.50 but it was yummy.
