Incident at the Lake Worth Beach

Comment Up

This incident occurred while I was having breakfast at Mulligans. I did not witness what happened. The man was on the ground along with his bicycle. There were 4 sheriff vehicles parked at the scene and several that drove by. A firetruck was there and the paramedics loaded him on their vehicle and drove off. He appeared to be okay.

Everyone needs to be cognizant of the two way traffic...cars loading and unloading passengers in front of the casino along with bicyclists and pedestrians trying to cross.

Bikers are so bad in this city. The police really need to educate and cite them more in this city. They do what they want, they never follow the rules of the roads like cars have to, but are supposed to. I see so many bikers breaking laws and putting themselves and drivers at risk. I am sure as it continues we will see more and more accidents with bikes, as bikers in Lake Worth just do not follow the rules of the road at all. So many bikers in Lake Worth are notorious for riding in the wrong lane on one-way streets or going through lights and not waiting like cars have to. Bikers beware!

Incident at 4th & North K, alley between K & L.
A 30 yr. old woman was attacked by an unknown white male, after her, not her purse, according to her testimony.
A group of 7-8 neighbors came running at her screams for help and the perp was seen running south down the alley.
Sheriff was immediately called but took up to 10 minutes to arrive. No word of the suspect, as onlooker gave repeated, like 5, reports by cell too the PBSO.
Nice work, PBSO !

I gotta agree that a lot of those on bikes do not follow the rules of the road. Half the time, bikes ride the wrong way on our one way streets. Drivers who are looking one way will not see the bikes coming against traffic, against the bike lane directive or sharrow. We need more bike safety and education, especially among our immigrant populations.
