Quote of the Day - Joe Negron

Comment Up
“In-state tuition discounts should, in my view, be reserved for legal residents of Florida. Florida law does not prohibit students who are undocumented from accessing our state colleges and universities. Once these students favorably resolve their residency status, they could become eligible for in-state tuition.”

~ Joe Negron

Negron made the announcement last week in a statement issued by his office as the agenda for the Appropriations Committee’s final regularly scheduled meeting was being released.

He may be right and it all sounds logical, but why do we even need to distinguish between in-state and out-of-state anyway, just charge one price for all, it seems silly and greedy of states and public universities to begin with. Sometimes there really is no logic. A country and world without any borders would be a much better place for all human beings really, just so silly. God bless America, Americans, the undocumented, illegals, and human trafficked, all people, this world just gets crazier by the day, all about ego, selfishness, and greed, very sad.

There are rewards for being a United States Citizen...rewards for being a Florida resident...rewards for being a year round resident of LW for beach decal passes. Sorry--forgot--Lake Worth believes that non-residents should have decals too. Sort of your theory, anonymous??
