One half block from Bryant Park and only a hop, skip and a jump to Lake Avenue, people are trashing our neighborhood here, over and over again. Nothing is changing--just more slum and blight.
We allow these people to hang out at our park saying we can't do anything about them;
They have rights too, we have been told.
Someone dumped hundreds of cigarette butts on private property
and hypodermic needles
along with used condoms, beer cans and other trash.
People are so fed up with what's happening in this fine neighborhood. They clean it up and it is trashed the very next day. Some want to move.
