Palm Beach Post gives some pot shots

Comment Up

Frank Cerabino condemned the Lake Worth Herald on its editorial of last week that was unsigned. Mark Easton is the President and Publisher and is the one who covers the news in Lake Worth. Cerabino gave all sorts of kudos to the illegal population giving them credit for our job growth in Florida, etc.--typical liberal propaganda, even going so far as to talk about the Chinese in 1886. It's what Frank didn't say about illegal immigration that disturbs me--Illegal is just that--ILLEGAL. There is no excuse under this sun that people should be allowed to break our laws.

The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Floridians found that taxpayers spend:

$3.4 billion a year to educate illegal immigrant children and the U.S. born children of illegal immigrants. $290 million a year on non-reimbursed health care for illegal aliens. $90 million a year to incarcerate criminal illegal aliens. The total represents an annual cost to each of Florida's native-born headed households of $678.

The cost study also determined that the illegal alien population in Florida is now 950,000 persons. This represents 7.3 percent of the national total illegal alien population, and it is the nation's fourth largest concentration of illegal aliens after California, Texas and New York. It is also about 5.2 percent of Florida's overall population. Here in Lake Worth, the illegal immigrant population is vast.

Also, the City of Lake Worth was taken to task by the Palm Beach Post editorial on its recent Panhandling Ordinance even mentioning the mayor's complaint about a panhandler. As I agree with giving credit where it's due, I am with the city on this and approve of the new ordinance that will come up for another vote.

You have two families: "Mr. Legal" and "Mr. Illegal". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California

1. Mr. Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00
per hour with taxes deducted.

Mr. Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid
$15.00 cash "under the table."

Ready? Now pay attention...

2. Mr. Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per
year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Mr. Legal now has $31,231.00.

Mr. Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.0 0 per year.
Mr. Illegal pays no taxes. Mr. Illegal now has $31,200.00.

3. Mr. Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his
family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Mr. Legal now has
$24,031.00.

Mr. Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics
and emergency hospitals at a cost of $0.00 per year. Mr. Illegal still
has $31,200.00.

4. Mr. Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays
$500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Mr. Legal now has $18,031.00.

Mr. Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps, WIC and welfare.
Mr. Illegal still has $31,200.00.

5. Mr. Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Mr. Legal now has $9,631.00.

Mr. Illegal receives a $500.00 per month Federal Rent Subsidy. Mr. Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Mr. Illegal still has $31,200.00.

6. Mr. Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for car insurance. Some of that is uninsured motorist insurance. Mr. Legal now has
$7,231.00.

Mr. Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

7. Mr. Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc..

Mr. Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he
sends out of the country every month.

8. Mr. Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Mr. Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family and friends.

9. Mr. Legal's and Mr. Illegal's children both attend the same elementary school.
Mr. Legal pays for his children's lunches, while

Mr. Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch and they have an a after school ESL program. Mr. Legal's children go home.

10. Now, when they reach college age,
Mr. Legal's kids may not get into a State School
and may not qualify for scholarships, grants or other tuition help, even though Mr. Legal has been paying for State Schools through his
taxes, while

Mr. Illegal's kids "go to the head of the class" because they are a minority.

11. Mr. Legal and Mr. Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Mr. Legal paid for them and Mr. Illegal did not pay.

Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens... You are part
of the FREAK'n problem!

We need to keep this going--we need to make changes ASAP!

It's way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!

Let's see the city getting all outraged about the post's comments. They would much rather take pokes at one little citizen who is telling the truth and bringing forth the other side of the story than a big newspaper with tons of money behind them.

The bully will probably now have a field day and call me a "racist" again, his favorite slur.

Yes it's all true ( the american people don't know the 1/2 of it) that the illegal Immigrants are being funded by the working american tax payers but , the illegals are not the creation of this problem , it's our speacial interest governments at federal , state and local level that are the problem for allowing it to happen and to continue.
The school systems love all these illegal because they have to justify their jobs , they don't care one bit about any chrildren , it all about their pay check and pension's and it's no different for any other public government jobs , just look at public safty.

The big question is who's getting all this Funding , it's not the illegals, follow the money , it not hard. All the redundant government jobs at many levels are the problem and it will get fixed at the federal level or the state level it has to start at the local level and that is very hard because the federal level is running the show because state government no longer have any back bone.

Lynn you're a racist

Lynn Anderson said...

Yeah, I know, anonymous at 2:18. That's why I like Allen West and Ben Carson.

That comment is exactly what I mean about stupid remarks that are not allowed here. I posted yours to show everyone else that you have lost your argument...no facts, just personal attacks. Did you graduate from middle school?

Like Mary Lindsey always talks about, can't we all just coexist and help each other out and live together in peaceful harmony?

Lynn Anderson said...

@2:51--Not when it comes to politics. That's why Lindsey went against ROLO and pushed for a national league ballpark out this way.

To the person who tried to post earlier, why do you keep on doing that? You don't bother me but personal attacks are not allowed here. Wes Blackman, no matter whether I remain silent or speak out will always be what he is--a fantasy writer bordering on libel with some of it so out in left field, he could write a fiction novel. In fact, some of his stuff is libelous. He needs to be off a city board.

Just so there's no misunderstanding, you DO agree with the editorial, don't you?

Lynn Anderson said...

If you're talking to me, anonymous at 3:41, I do NOT agree with the editorial on panhandling and LWorth's new Ordinance. We have a big problem in our downtown and the only way to solve it is by laws.

As I said in my last sentence: As I agree with giving credit where it's due, I am with the city on this and approve of the new ordinance that will come up for another vote.

Actually, I was speaking of the editorial that appeared in the Lake Worth paper that Cerabino criticized. You were critical of Cerabino for taking issue with the content of that editorial, so I was curious as to whether or not you agreed with it.

Lynn Anderson said...

I was critical of Cerabino in his lack of understanding or his willingness to overlook the illegal immigration problem that we have in this country and in this State. He talks about all the jobs that the illegals have taken from American workers and thinks this is a wonderful thing. He talked about what hard workers they are. And so what? They are ILLEGAL. Our system is not working. Illegals who have given birth here and their kids are automatic citizens--that should cease. There should be no rewards for illegals at the expense of U.S. citizens. Give out work visas, keep track of them and then make sure they go home.

Well, for the 3rd time, I'll ask you if you agreed what was written in the Lake Worth Herald editorial. It's really a yes or no answer, isn't it?

Additionally, given the cutbacks in government services that Republicans propose, maybe you can explain how you think these millions of people can be tracked, hunted down and deported by a work force that continues to shrink and is forced to operate with less and less money.

But, forget all that.

Did you agree with what was written in the Lake Worth editorial...or not?

Lynn Anderson said...

Well, for the final time @10:15, I wrote about Easton's editorial previously.

Secure our borders...ok? Enforce the laws on the books. And all you open border types are messing up this country.
P.S. I rarely ever agree with Easton.

What gives you the idea that I'm for open borders? Let's start locking things down by expanding the Border Patrol and Coast Guard and tripling the patrols along Florida's coastlines. You know how many Cubans and Haitians get past the few resources that are out there now? Let's quadruple the size of the Border Patrol on our North Border to plug all those holes where anyone can cross over at the current time.

And do we need to talk about how much more equipment and manpower is needed for our SW Border? Of course these Federal agencies are going to need to be expanded and they're going to need a ton more resources but we'll have our secured borders.

You think Cruz, Rubio, and Goehmert are on board for expanding those Federal agencies and funding them appropriately?
