Racial discrimination protest in Lake Worth

Read about it...

We read about police brutality every day on social media but I am surprised that we would have it in Lake Worth. But when a complaint is filed with the top cop in the nation, Eric Holder, a guy who takes a discrimination charge very seriously because he believes that minorities are still discriminated against, this city is under the microscope.

West Palm Beach defense attorney, Jack Scarola, who used to be a prosecutor had asked the Attorney General, Eric Holder, to investigate the PBSO for what he says is a militaristic approach to its duties and racial prejudice towards minorities. Scarola is  particularly upset about the PBSO's alleged abuse of the Guatemalan community which represents 13% of  Lake Worth's population.

The biggest part of the problem with our illegal...oops, immigrant population is that many of them do not speak English. They need to learn English and obey our laws and when a deputy gives an order, jump.

It is sad, our old LWPD used to be friendlier.
It seems like the PBSO are not user-friendly, too much attitude and ego, hard to talk to on the streets.
Too bad we can't bring back out old LWPD.
The PBSO needs to be more user-friendly, approachable, and easier when you call them, just way too much attitude, you never see them drive about in the city as much like the old LWPD did.
The police in general need to treat the citizens more respectfully, respect is earned, they are not earning it.

Seth Adams...
Wasn't he the one who was shot 2x in the Front & 2x in the Back? Crawled 300 yards and made one call to his brother in the middle of all this?

Certain people in this city are obsessed with Cara Jennings who is just a sweet woman who cares about her fellow human beings. When you have a blogger attack her and a local newspaper making revolting personal comments that are made up and untrue, who do you really believe is the better person? Jennings won an election two years in a row in this city and did a damn good job. Did she make some mistakes? A few, but she was always honest and cared about everyone who lives here. Police brutality does exist.
