FBI raids PBSO offices

Comment Up

FBI agents descended on the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in West Palm Beach yesterday to seize Internal Affairs files about deputy-involved shootings, Gossip Extra is told by two sources familiar with the inner workings of the sheriff’s agency. One insider tells Gossip Extra exclusively that the G Men were particularly interested in the May shooting of a robbery suspect by Lake Worth-based Deputy Russell Brinson.

If you recall, this was the incident that involved a Lake Worth Guatemalan. Recently there was a demonstration against PBSO in front of the Mayan Center in Lake Worth. Attorney Jack Scarola contacted Eric Holder to investigate the alleged abuse.

Interesting. If you go to the pbsotalk.org site, you will see a pretty spirited debate about the FBI coming to investigate PBSO.

So many posters insisted it would never happen. So glad they were wrong.

It just cracks me up - again- how the powers-that-be allow graffiti on a building but can't tolerate a protest. What kind of attitude do they think most graffiti artists have?

And you wonder what other crap has gone on in PBSO encounters with ordinary citizens that these citizens just take on the chin due to fear or just not wanting to be considered a pain in the butt.

Yeah I know it's a tough job. That's no excuse for being on a power trip.

Amen above. I agree. I had to call the PBSO last week, major attitude when I called. Then when they came out, the officer was another major attitude. They are just not nice to citizens. Pres. Obama said the other night that Black Americans are distrusting and not respecting police anymore, but it is not just blacks, whites do not trust or respect them either, they need to do more to improve their image and be respectful toward us and build trust again. It is not automatic. Our police in this city are not nice as a whole and give major attitude, when we the good guys just want to help and make this a safer and more orderly city. It starts with the top captain here, he makes people feel if you speak out, bring issues to him, or as he calls it complain, you are the bad guy or part of the problem, instead of looking at us being a part of the solution to helping them. PBSO has major issues. They need our prayers.
