Pastor Mike Olive and his story - Common Ground Church

Comment Up

Common Ground Church is proclaiming love is greater than hate. That's it. 84 hours a week are devoted to selling coffee and bagels; 6 hours a week are spent on preaching the word of God. They are being the light in the middle of darkness in downtown Lake Worth. "Live with the Light on--the hope of Jesus," says Pastor Mike.

Perhaps Pastor Mike should not just focus his efforts on preparing folks for the hereafter and spend some time helping people with the time they have left while they're still on earth and start having Weight Watchers meeting at his caffeinated place of worship too.

I think some people need to stop hating in this world and cease making personal remarks about people's weight. Not very loving of you. You need to start going to his prayer service and learn how to be kind.

Now you're talking about someone's weight? You jokers are just plain awful. You must be a perfect human speciman? Pastor Mike would teach you about love, not hate. He prays for you, Wes and Parilla and teaches turning the other cheek. Sounds like you need a little love in your life, anony. Come on down Sunday am.

The coffee was awesome & the toasted 'everything' bagel w/cream cheese was just like I like it!

The light the church is shining is burning up the darkness that exists here in LW - the Weight Watchers comment is meanness light compared to some of the other stuff said if you disagree in this town?

Has the anon commenter at 3:39 seen our dais dumplings? Perhaps they can 'waive' the 'special use' fee and have classes for them first - if it's such a good idea - they should go first...no?
