It used to be that Lewis Hay, former NextEra Energy Chairman, was the highest-paid executive in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. In fact in 2013, he was the highest paid executive for six years running and a total of eight years out of the last thirteen. Then he retired to let the wealth spread. I guess he made enough. Hay collected $33 million in 2012, a pay package that hit another milestone — he was the highest-paid utility executive in the country that year, according to a Palm Beach Post article at the time.
Now Mr. Hay is no longer on the top list of highly paid Palm Beach County executives. James Robo took over the helm of NextEra and he's not doing too shabbily. From NextEra, we have--

Some of our local fruitcakes still want to sell (give away) our utility to FPL probably believing that they will get top dollar.
Anonymous at 2:34, the two individuals who were against that are now gone from our utility and 2 of the most experienced men we have ever had.
