It was a beautiful but windy day today with rip currents. The air temperature was 84^ and the Atlantic was 81^. No one was in the ocean while I was there. Our fabulous Olympic Pool was closed as the hours of Operation are:
Thursday, Friday & Monday--8am - Noon
Saturday & Sunday--9am - 4pm

What stupid damn hours! Why in the hell even bother??? People have begged the city to have normal hours and some evening hours but NO, THAT MAKES TOO MUCH SENSE!!! People would love to be able to use our pool on days like this when they can't swim in the ocean.
Designed to fail means it fails, which is what the majority commission wants. Isn't strange that the pool operated normally and without problems for years and years when the Casino and beach park was in disrepair? Now that we have a wonderful new Casino and beach park that is flourishing the pool is failing.
We are coming into season, why won't the City open the pool so people can use it?
