Solar and League of Cities

Comment Up

Vice Mayor Scott Maxwell is the past president of the Palm Beach County League of Cities and now the appointed liaison for voting purposes from Lake Worth. Andy Amoroso is on its board.

Now what do you suppose they think about the Florida League of Cities affirming its opposition to the solar power amendment  particularly since they just agreed to spend $23 million on Siemens that includes over $5 million in solar on our landfill.  Read about it...

Not sure Scott is still enamored with the League other than the parties.

Good luck spending $23M. Upgrading meters that were just replaced with less than a year of service. Installing lighting that is totally unnecessary and now solar along with the possibility of building a new power plant. Why not just add street lighting where is it needed instead of a total upgrade? Why not use the NEW digital Meters that we just spent thousands of dollars for both material and labor. Makes little sense other than the CM getting what he wants. Don't we have more critical areas to spent that kind of $ on like streets and water lines?

@6:36
You are mixing up electrical digital meters with water meters to be replaced.
