Lake Worth has booth at South Florida Fair

Comment Up

The theme for this year's South Florida Fair is Discover the Palm Beaches.
Does anyone get excited about Lake Worth's booth and its colors they are using to advertise our city?

The only booth that was manned while I was there was the City of Boynton Beach where I won a Pirate Fest mug. The gal manning the booth is a former employee of Lake Worth, Patsy Grissom, and worked in the Utility Department.

You can thank Commissioner Andy Amoroso and Emily from the CRA for setting up the Lake Worth booth early in the morning before work. Good job guys! Now if we can get our community to volunteer to man the booth that would be swell!

The commission had a great opportunity to talk about this and ask for volunteers at the last meeting. No one did. No one even told us that we had a booth. In all that excitement about the homeless coming up, I guess it slipped their minds. This is probably something the NAPC could have organized.

@12:35 excuse me but you are stating a "mis-truth". Commissioner Andy Amoroso most certainly mentioned it in his commissioner comments and asked for volunteers. Listen to the tape to be better informed before you speak.

Terrible - just terrible.
This display is embarrassing.
After seeing Andy had a part,
I'm not surprised. It looks
like his store - crammed w/crap!
Who pays for a booth and doesn't
have anyone there? What a waste
of taxpayer money!

UGLY LAKE WORTH

You know what is ugly... You anomoous posters that just find fault with everything others do and NEVER volunteer on he front end of a project to help make it better.

Sort of like Monday morning, arm chair quarterbacks who have never played ball.

And adding personal attack for what a merchant chooses to carry in his or her store is uncalled for. It's like me bitching and complaining about all the chocolate in Hoffmanns or Kilwins because I hate chocolate... Please don't darken the doorsteps of shops and restaurants you don't like, and please keep your opinion and personal attacks about hard working merchants to yourself because the rest of us fine shops like Andy's to add value to the quirky, diverse and interesting Lake Worth we are.

Helllllooooooo! Hypocrisy at its finest. Anonymous calling another anonymous poster out for a personal attack?
