More on Tom, a man who was beaten to death in Lake Worth

Those who live along North L Street near Fifth Avenue North, where Altman was found bleeding Tuesday morning in front of an abandoned apartment building, described “Lawn Tom” as a hardworking and respected man with “the kindest heart” around. Many, like Winters, considered him a friend.

Very very sad to hear he died. We have seen the police and news here now, they never had anything on the news the day it happened. It is sad for us that this happened a half a block from our house. We really feel that murder was the wack job young guy that lives right in front of where he was murdered at 432 N L St. This guy has real mental problems. Tom used to hang out there some too, all very strange. I hope they catch this killer. Our city is NOT safe. A few blocks from here on Federal Hwy is bad too, the 300 and 400 blocks of N Fed. have so many bad elements hanging here. Our city has gone to pot! God bless Tom may he rest in peace, he is now in a better place.

How sad that he now died. Tom used to hang out a lot in the backyard of the young blond guy who lives at 432 N L St, so weird, wonder if he is the killer, they were friends. The Police really need to question him, all very odd.

They had this on the news tonight, finally, how sad, the only things that bother me too about their report, that they never say he was found on city owned blighted property, an abandoned building owned by the city. Too, it is only a block from the Catholic Church, it happened during Holy Week, poor Tom had to die like Jesus almost. This is all so senseless. There are a lot of sick people in this city. The other thing that really bothers me is that this happened last Tuesday and he died on Friday and now they are reporting on it, why wasn't it in the news the day it happened? A lot bothers me about how the city and police report things. The City of Lake Worth should be ashamed of themselves for owning 431 N L St. and leaving it in the overgrown and blighted condition it is in, it is nasty looking, the city should set a better example for its citizens. pam shame on you as mayor! This happened on your dime.
