Lake Worth Merchants Supporting Atlanta Braves in John Prince Park

Comment Up

There is Callaros, Brogues, Paws on the Avenue, Studio 205 and Dave's Last Resort all with Atlanta Braves signs in their windows. Owners of these establishments are all friends of Vice Mayor Maxwell.  Is that just a coincidence?

By displaying a Braves sign, are these merchants suggesting that 1) they don't care about the residential neighborhood adjacent to John Prince Park, 2) they don't care about bulldozing 100 acres of a county park for the possibility and unproven economic impact it might (but probably won't) have on their bottom line and 3) they don't care about the destruction of our wildlife and animal habitats there? What do you think?

Bring homes the Braves. Yeah right. Just like you bring back a cheating SOB spouse who left you for a younger model, leaving 20 years of destruction in their wake.
Are these owners just stupid? What in the hell has the city done for our downtown? I always used to try to spend my time and money in our down town. Now I will NEVER set foot in ANY of these shops. I hope they all have to close down.
And a special message to the owner of Paws on the Ave. -I hope the WAWA 24 hour convenience store moves into YOUR neighborhood and completely ruins YOUR quality of life with traffic, noise, light pollution and crime!

Andy can always be counted on to make the right decision.

Studio 205? Amoroso's store? What a shock. I'm surprised he's not selling caps and t-shirts for the Braves. Who would buy? Beth? Carolyn? Michelle? Dave? Next they will have an Atlanta Braves cocktail. Morons.

Mayor Pam Triolo, Commissioner Andy Amoroso and Commissioner Scott Maxwell have shown themselves to be embarrassing horses azzes once again.
OK ,lets just rush out and approve this move by the county to destroy a public park!We don't have any details, but here we go!
Our Sugar Daddy Mark Foley tells us what to do!

WAWA is great ! They have really good food.and they are not just your average "convenience store". They will be just a short drive down High Ridge Road from us ! They pay their employees well. I hope they come here.

I can see most of these displaying the sign because they are loyal followers of the Trio. BUT PAWS ON THE AVENUE. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME
You should be supporting the ones that want to prevent destruction of the wildlife habitats. I will not be buying anything from your store as you are hypocrites.

You ask what do I think? I think it is greed to the worst degree.

pissed about beach parking said...

Thanks Lynn for letting us know. Now I won't patronize any of these places, Dave' is out anyway for emailing their crap to their VIP card members, now no more brouges or any of the others. Which businesses at the beach are doing this? I already won't go to Benny's for doing what they did with our decal parking. Shame on our elected leaders for not listening to the citizens they represent. I will never vote for any of them again, nor vana. They are all greedy, corrupt, no good, son of a b's. I hate our politicians and big or small business, their abuse of power is what bothers me so. I just want go to those businesses ever again!

Paws on the Avenue should be ashamed of themselves. They took away the dog park plan to put in a stadium. Please tell me you are not one of the pay to play businesses. I will not be frequenting your store anymore as I find this hypocritical of you. How can you possibly think that a ball park is more important than our wildlife and our environment. It is pathetic that you are even displaying a sign in your window that shows you support the Braves over animals.

Perhaps all they care about is their pocketbook. Sad about Paws On the Avenue. Guess they showed their mentality. Hopefully they will reconsider what they are doing to wildlife and humans for the sake of a frigging hotdog!

OH No! A hotdog goes a loooooong way in LW! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It Really shocked me that PAWS ON THE AVENUE had a sign in their window for the Braves. I really liked Carolyn and wonder if she knows that people walk their dogs in John Prince Park, we always do, and also the dog park. Someone should ask her if she is aware what she is doing.
I would never go to any of the stores who advertise the Braves. I like baseball and just believe that it should never go into a PUBLIC COUNTY PARK. IT NEEDS TO BE WEST NEAR THE TURNPIKE.

These business' are naive if they think baseball will boost sales, likely what will happen is that chains will inundate the area near the stadium, the public is too lazy to seek out of the way places.Meanwhile they have alienated the resident business.
