$13,356,595.00 for PBSO services in Lake Worth
Not exactly a drop in the bucket. PBSO will get another increase for its services to Lake Worth. One of the biggest complaints, however, is that we never see a deputy until after the fact. They will have a few dedicated to the beach. Crime at our beach! The other big complaint is that crime is on the rise no matter what the PBSO wants to tell us.

Article 6, Section 6.1 of the Law Enforcement Service Agreement is amended as to the total amount due for services for the period beginning October 01, 2017 through September 30, 2018 as follows: The total amount due for the annual period referenced above shall be $13,356,595.00. Monthly payments shall be $1,113,049.58. The last monthly payment shall be $1,113,049.62

Can you believe that we pay over 1 mil a month and all they seem to accomplish is having stings on prostitution on Federal?
They do much more than that , why don't you do a ride along at night.
Many of your "complaints" are opinions & fake News. How do you stop a thug from shooting someone or breaking into your home, what do you suggest the cops do, what's the solution?
Because of people wanting to keep Lake Worth "affordable" we will always have the problems associated with low rent people. That is not saying all low income people are bad, but it should be obvious that we attract that demographic.
It is also a problem that feeds on itself if we don't do anything about it.
Your contention of having deputies show up only after the fact shows a lack of understanding. Sure, if they witness a crime, they can arrest the perp. WE are the ones who need to watch out for each other.
The contract also needs to be negotiated to have more concentration on crimes WE want to see decreases in.

I did NOT contend that deputies SHOULD show up AFTER the fact. I said that they DO. They are reactive, not proactive.
Ride along? Really??? Capt Baer-will you and your men please stop playing the game with the prostitutes on Dixie and come patrol our neighborhoods? And by "patrol" we don't mean cruising thru our streets MAYBE twice a day with the windows up and the air conditioning on. How about some speed control in the neighborhoods,not just on (your favorite) Dixie Hwy?,not once in a while,but EVERY FRIGGIN DAY ! What happened to the officers that were promised to STAY IN EACH NEIGHBORHOOD ? As it is now,if you are robbed,better hope it's not on a weekend where all hands in the PBSO are on deck in the "alphabet streets",not our neighborhoods. A homeowner in my neighborhood had been robbed for the second time(yes they had an alarm) in two months. They had to wait for over half an hour hour for someone to even show up. They were told it "was a busy night".
Don't even get me started on the rude witches in dispatch.Make the call Y'all my azz. Most of my neighbors now have the attitude"screw that". Why should I even try to report anything and go thru being treated like a POS by the dispatch?Can somebody please call the Mayor(good luck with that) or your Commissioner to get this item pulled for discussion? It ,like most stuff now on consent ,does not belong there.
Look,every person on my street has been robbed . Most multiple timmes. It's not if,it;s whenn you will get robbed in lake Worth. Annd I live in a "nice" area. PBSO is a clean up crew with a badge. Sorry,but it's true. I don't hate PBSO. I think it's time to seriously look at other options. Like private security. We all also pay county taxes. That entitles us to PBSO and their equipment.They'll show up after the fact most likely,but what's new?

The solution is a police force that does it's job. And PBSO is not doing it's job. Don't put this back on the people of Lake Worth. We are doing everything in our power to protect ourselves that we can.. Alarms,cameras,locking and not stupidly leaving stuff in our vehicles.Making the call (oh what a JOY that is) if we see something or someone suspicious.ALL of the neighborhoods are begging for speed control by PBSO. And it's falling o deaf ears. Every neighborhood has it's own speedway,or in my neighborhood's case SPEEDWAYS. Multiple. We were told that PBSO did away with it's motorcycle crew that we saw off of 6th ave south once in a while.We are not getting the services that we where promised by PBSO. PERIOD. And I'm tired of pussy Commissioners who are too damn scared to demand PBSO to do their job.
Lynn, How do you expect the police to be there before the crime is committed? Do you think they know when a man is going to beat his wife, and then shoot everything in sight. Should they listen in to every phone conversation and then call their back office, get the phone number and address where the call is coming from? Maybe a Deputy should be assigned to every man woman and child in Lake Worth. High Crime areas can be targeted, and in this case, the whole town is a high crime area. What you want would cost a lot more than 13mm. I think the police do a good job. You get what you pay for!
Ridiculous fools like 2:05 need to take their heads out of PBSO azz . They are oxygen deprived.No one is advocating for the foolishness above. Unlike poo for brains above- people have a right too call out PBSO for not providing basic services that were promised.WE are the ones PAYING for sub par service. PBSO is not a free charity being provided for us.

I see many deputies every time I go anywhere. You fools think you are entitled to services above and beyond the call of duty? Why don't you and your neighbors form a little group of citizens on patrol instead of constantly complaining. How do you think that deputy got attacked in the alley if there are no police around? Do you want the police to make the laws too? If they started busting heads, then you would scream police brutality. I consider it an honour to be accused of being on the side of Law Enforcement, so keep the insults coming!

Why in the FUC$ should my neighbors and I have to do a god damned thing??? Are we going to be paid over one million per month ,along with big fat pensions when we retire? PBSO is not a charity. We pay thru the ass for them.Much more than other municipalities of similar size and crime stats.What in the hell are you talking about when you talk about "busting heads"? We just want some neighborhood patrols and speed control in our neighborhoods. And for over one million per month,that's not too much to ask.
