Employee at Lake Worth church steals $18,000

People go to church to get right with God and cleanse themselves from sins. So, to put it mildly, it's really poor taste when you steal from a church but that's what happened to the First Congregational Church of Christ on 1415 North K Street.

Pastor Jason says that the church is of people-- looking to be different and to make a difference in their world by loving God, loving one another, and serving the world.

It's bookkeeper stole nearly $18,000  We know who she served.

I think this happens a lot, just not all get caught. Remember a few years ago some Catholic priest here in our county stole a lot more than this from his parish. It has been in the paper a lot around the country about people stealing from the church coffers. Very sad when people put their trust in all these people. You can never put any of them on a pedestal. Just like the LW commissioners and mayor, they are crooks too stealing a high salary for themselves with money given to them by their constituents, they are all crooks. I do not know how they sleep at night.
