What he said, anonymous, was that he believes that Putin believes what he is saying. Trump, on the other hand stated and believes our intel on this issue, people in positions now. Is it not better to try and get along with foreign leaders rather than to start insulting them at an inappropriate place. President Trump will be taking care of this issue with Putin. The goal here is to marginalize North Korea, not piss off world leaders like Obama did in the Philippines.
