Confiscation of guns and ammo just begun in Florida

Not Just Guns: State Begins Ammo Confiscation as Well

In the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida, shooting that left 17 people dead, Florida has been one of the first states to introduce stricter gun laws, and this time the effects are being felt by one of its residents.

Rick Scott is a RINO. Any self respecting Republican who votes for him for U.S. Senator is a only hurting the Republican Party.

This guy is completely nuts.I'm an NRA member ,but I am for sensible restrictions on gun ownership.I am not for raising the age to 21 years old to own a firearm. Any restriction can become a slippery slope, however.

Rick Scott is a great governor. He has done a lot for Florida and will do the same in Congress. A person should not be condemned on one issue.

Lynn, he took a man's guns and ammo and deprived him of his 2nd Amendment rights. As an NRA member, I am outraged that Rick Scott is doing what we warn members every day that Democrats are going to do. How can I or any one who believes in the 2A support the actions of any man who grabs our guns? What, we just say, "Oh, that's just one issue?" Seriously? What kind of Republican are you that you don't support 2A?

I'm tired of pretend Republicans who carve out exceptions for RINOs because "it's just one issue" or not very important to them. That's BS.

Maybe you should have stayed a damn lib, Lynn.

The guy was Baker Acted. This is exactly what Trump believes as well--take the guns BEFORE a mentally ill person uses one to kill. If it is proven that he is not crazy, then it will all get resolved.

Maybe you should not be so outraged. Perhaps we have to worry about YOU, anonymous at 1:11. Reveal yourself...maybe you too are nuts!

slippery slope being ignored is the 'mental illness' phrase...
seems harmless enough but no way after trump got elected is
it a sound decision but more like a 'tool' to do "_____" (fill
in the blank). People seriously believe Trump voters are mentally ill!

What test is there for a 'brain chemical imbalance'?
Why are "Chemicals" the only solution if 'diagnosed'?
Count how many of these shooter kids were on 'chemicals',
How many of you are on 'Dr. Prescribed chemicals' or
know at least 2-3 people that are?

Teachable moment about 2A...
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED and CAN only be Changed in an
amendment by VOTE of We the People!

Exactly, Weetha.

Tell, Lynn, the RINO, about 2A and our rights. She seems to forget what they are when a Republican steps on them.

I can't stand this BS. We're excusing Republicans for things we would run Democrats out of office for?

Not this Republican. Never.

Jesse, Take it somewhere else.

I think Scott is a good Governor, and I'm voting for him for the US Senate. He's a no nonsense pragmatist, and doesn't bore me with speeches.

As far as mental illness, if there is one thing there is more money in than weapons, it's prescription drugs. All these killer kids are on psychotropic drugs since childhood, and now it's Katie bar the door.

Reading the various posts on the 2nd Amendment is sort of like reading the story of David and Goliath in the Bible.

All you have to do is watch old Cowboy movies, and it's clear enough that when you come into town, you leave your guns with the Sheriff, and pick them up when you go back to your cattle ranch.

The idea that 2A was meant for civilized people to walk around with guns in a city, is ludicrous, and indicates the level of reading comprehension in the members of the IRA, or any other group that advocates for this type of uncivilized behavior.

I wouldn't exactly call us a civilized society today. People can't even talk civilly anymore. According to Google, as there are some 13,286 people that were killed in the US by firearms in 2015, according to the Gun Violence Archive, and 26,819 people were injured, and in 2012, there were 8,855 total firearm-related homicides in the US, I think we all definitely need to protect ourselves. This is not the 1800's but a society that is violent beyond what any of our forefathers ever could have imagined.

You have a valid point; I'm impressed that you are willing to admit it.
